The 2001 Athens and Epidaurus Festival attempted to connect Greece's cultural trail with the country's development, so as to form a cohesive course. It aimed at tapping the skills of Greece's talents and at introducing new artists. The initiatives reached high standards satisfying both Greek audience and foreign visitors.
