It is a Modern Greek "folk" story. It is an original satire film that criticizes everything but with great respect to History and Greek culture. "HORSEMEN OF PYLOS" symbolizes the conscious civilians and the volunteers. The central hero of the film is a famous actor. His family has abandoned him and the actor has also lost all his fortune. He finds shelter in POLYPYLON, a prototype republic. The hero, through his contact with a place that is deeply connected with Greek history and through his acquaintance with a girl who is a visionary person and an ecologist, manages to reevaluate his life and feel hopeful about the future.

The surreal and unpredictable situation that the hero deals with, as well as the beautiful and unique messinian landscape, compose an inter-influential universe that defines Modern Greece's identity.
